Christ’s College claimed their first Springbok Shield success for 18 years with a gun to tape success in the boys flagship race of the first finals day at the 2016 Aon Maadi Cup at Lake Ruataniwha.

The 2016 Aon Maadi Cup (New Zealand Secondary School Rowing Championships) regatta continued today at Lake Ruataniwha, Twizel with the remaining heats while repechages also resumed.

Lake Ruataniwha turned on bright blue skies and calm conditions for the opening day of the 2016 Aon Maadi Cup (New Zealand Secondary School Rowing Championships) regatta which commenced in Twizel today with a full race schedule of 135 heats in 32 event classes.
